When I read that sentence, I thought, no matter what the heated cable blather/meme/conventional-"wisdom" (not) of the moment, Sen. Kerry is himself a perfect example of the truth of his statement, as he is one of the few politicians who can stand tall (well, I guess that's a given 
), knowing that the truth of his personhood and his career will survive , with flying colors, the test of history.
