About some ads that come back for again..and again...and again... [View all]
I hate the ads about the "tiny company that is revolutionizing an industry"..It is not a "tiny company" and the ads picture fairly young people standing against a wall...looking like they got the "answer" and they are revolutionizing an industry......
Here is the truth. They are selling auto insurance. The ads are lies. These ads use technology that tells the company what state the viewer lives in. Then the ad matches the state the viewer lives in with the ad..Is that the revolution??...maybe..But they are selling "auto insurance"..that is all..
... And...here is the catch. The most important aspect of these ads, and I hate this... The ads have been coming back for many months and longer...Now..what does that mean?? I think it means that the ads are successful at what they are meant to do..that is well auto insurance... Why would I say that?..An ad that is repeated over time is almost always successful.
.....The person paying for the ad, would not continue paying for the ad, over time, if it were not successful.............
Usually if an ad is not working, they take the ad down. That is how the ad industry works. If an ad is successful at selling, then the ad is repeated over and over and over. These ads are successful in my opinion because they are still being repeated, over and over and over. Everquote, the company behind the ads, has found a trick that works, ...young people standing against a wall proclaiming it is a "tiny company".. Who said it? There is a sucker born every minute? I don't know..but the fact that these ads are still around, and looks like there are more of them, means the company must be making money......If the company was not making money...there would be no more ads...
Please see post April 2017....where this is first discussed..(two Asian women revolutionizing an industry. So those ads have been running a full year...my guess is the company is making money on them..there are more now than before..
