...they are not taken seriously by the State Farms and Allstates. They BARELY take lawyers seriously, but you need one ASAP. I represent consumers in Texas, a place decidedly friendly to the monied interests. Look for someone in your area who’s board-certified in consumer law, or handles plaintiff-side insurance cases. Check your state bar’s website, or your local trial lawyer organization. You can find them on the Internet. Do not be deterred by the fee, or what you’ve been told. Your state probably has an insurance code and a deceptive trade practices act your lawyer can use for you. Often, these allow for fee shifting.
