Any recommendations for a good durable reliable cell phone? [View all]

Bowing to the inevitable, I have to get a cell phone.
Need easy to see numbers, not a real small type, nothing real expensive.

I will be buying minutes for it, not using a regular service plan.

Don't need/ want e-mail/internet access, just something to use to call around town, and to have a cell number that PayPal and other services are now demanding
( grrrrrr).
I am home most of the time, retired, don't need to make a lot of calls on a cell, don't like talking on them, actually.
I have a landline for home.

Probably will get one on Amazon, out here in the boonies son't have a lot of shopping options, want to avoid a dud.

any do's/don'ts appreciated.
