1. Yes, there are more registered Democrats than registered Republicans.

In Massachusetts many Indies are Democrats, too.

This is exactly why GOTV has always been so important for Democrats.

Watch out, though. ACORN is gone, but many religious right groups are out there registering voters that seem to them to be Republicans and "educating" them.

Those are the not for profits we heard about when they alleged the IRS was hassling them because of the names of their organizations. One of the things I heard during the hearings is that they have national conference calls with each other every Sunday night to share info, encourage each other, etc. Don't ask me how they even knew each other existed, let alone raised the money for national conference calls. It's organized and funded.

Democrats really need on voter registration in some organized fashion.
