And now we know this: Ed's a rapist. And now I know in a serious way I allowed it to happen. Never encouraged it, but it happened in increments until the final outrage. I never confronted him. I never talked about him with our friends, never warned women in our circle, "do not hang with Ed alone or in context with alcohol, do not invite him alone into your home".

Women can fight rape, but men can stop it today.
