Bloomberg Radio tried to account for the stock market's failure to react to some major events of the time by saying that markets had de-coupled from politics, but what they really seemed to be saying was that markets had de-coupled from reality itself and, presumably, only cared about moving interest rates, earnings calls and future profits.
