4. I bought eggs yesterday for $4.99 a dozen

They were the least expensive and were large brown eggs. These were the least expensive. Extra large white eggs were $8.99-$11.99!

We’re on the Pennsylvania/New York state line on the upper Delaware River. We mostly shop at a local small supermarket chain that is employee owned and operated. The butcher, produce and dairy products are almost all locally sourced so it’s a great store.

I’m not a big egg lover but I understand the metric. It’s similar in NYC where the price of a slice of pizza is a nearly perfect barometer of the local economy.
