Intuit sold it to another company, which immediately put it on a "buy our software AND subscribe to use it." No way was I going to continue using Quicken after that. Meanwhile, Intuit came up with another inexpensive bookkeeping program almost identical to Quicken. It's called MoneyDance and I've been using it for two years now. I started with the free trial and as soon as I realized that it was virtually the same, bought it for around $50. I have not been disappointed.
