But I do know stocks can be very volatile after IPO. Unless you know a lot about the company, you have no idea if rge stock is overvalued due to a buying frenzy simply because it just IPO'd or not. I make it a point to avoid investing in new issues until a track record is clearly established on a chart. I might miss out on a gain by waiting, but I'm more interested in avoiding loses buying into an overvalued stock.
