Since they burn out after a year or two, the pipeline never backs up, wages never go up, the profession is deprofessionalized, teacher quality tanks and all of the above are used as excuses to accelerate the privatization of the system. It's a winner all around for everyone but kids, teachers, parents and taxpayers.
