First, you have to get a “certificate of entitlement” for $106,0001-$145,000 (October 2023) which is good for 10 years. Price is set by how many are available for purchase and the size of the vehicle. My friend there ditched his car. His home is close to downtown and he can walk to work.
Public transport is fantastic. Super easy to navigate and they are expanding connections to make it even easier. On the plus side, 90% of Singaporeans own their home.
