8. Helion's on their latest prototype and I'm cheering for them

The great advantage CFS has is that they are not inventing a new technology. They’re mostly using time-tested technology. The difference is that they are using a “high-temperature” superconductor to make their magnets, which allows them to make the reactor much smaller.

The thing I really like about Helion’s technology is that rather than generating heat, to boil water, to drive a steam turbine, as CFS plans to do (like most other power plants, coal, gas, nuclear fission…)

Helion plans to generate electricity directly from the fusion reaction.
