I'd say that's a bit of fanfare for Al. Seriously, though, good on Al Gore. It's also a great step in not partaking in an industry that causes not just sickening abuse of animals but also plays an overwhelming part in environmental destruction and pollution. Glad he's decided to take the plunge. I'm sure he'll enjoy it quite a bit.
