Product Review: Sophie's Kitchen Vegan Breaded Fish Fillets and Breaded Shrimp [View all]

We tried both of these tonight.

The Fish Fillets
Paul's Opinion: The texture on them seemed like a fillet. The taste was good overall. They were a bit dry, though.
Will's Opinion: I thought they were fairly dense. Rather fillet-like, but a bit chewier. I agree about the taste. They were pretty good, but as FlVegan pointed out, you won't mistake them for fish.

The Shrimp
Paul's Opinion: Chewy. Looked like shrimp. I've never had real shrimp so cannot compare the taste. They tasted good.
Will's Opinion: They had a nice chew to them. Like the fish you won't mistake them for real shrimp, but good in their own right. The breading on them was quite tasty. We did, however, have one issue with them: They were frozen together in a clump. I did not read the part about thawing them in the refrigerator and put them in the microwave to defrost, which caused parts of the breading to peel off.

Nutrition wise these products are both pretty high in fat, but low in sodium. We will add them to our list of things to have on special occasions, but wouldn't buy them on a regular basis.
