5. The question I always have in these dictatorships, if they are not taken out by others, when do the people act?

Iran is the other one where majority supposedly do not support the theocracy, economy is in a shambles and they are walking backwards into the dark ages as a nation. And there have been some pretty significant protests mainly focused on inflation and the economy, yet they are tamped down with interior ministry troops and water cannon and little changes. I all cases a general strike that stops public transport and interrupts the supply chain and maybe more is not beyond their means, yet we don't see it.
