But The Economist says that Russia is getting around the sanctions and making enough on oil to keep their economy afloat, but the potential collapse of the Ruble is what they see as the sudden disaster that could bring their economy to a halt.
They have compared it to a wage earner suddenly finding out that their wages are going to be cut in half — that is what could happen in a matter of weeks to the value of the Ruble on world markets.
