Islamophobia and Arab-bashing make it easier to deflect from the fact that billions of dollars of hardworking American taxpayer money have been funding ethnic cleansing in Israel. The constant "Hamas!" drumbeat in 2024 was just like the constant "WMD!" drumbeat in 2002.
Adjusting for inflation, US aid to Israel from 1951 to 2022 totaled $317.9 billion, making it the largest recipient of American foreign aid since World War II.
That's billions of dollars that could have been used right here in the US for healthcare, education, affordable housing, meals-on-wheels, libraries, or parks.
