According to calculations by the investigation team, the smallest blast capable of failing the building's critical column would have resulted in a sound level of 130 decibels (dB) to 140 dB at a distance of at least half a mile, if unobstructed by surrounding buildings. This sound level is consistent with a gunshot blast, standing next to a jet plane engine, and more than 10 times louder than being in front of the speakers at a rock concert.

But I'll help you out here: I think the only CD theory for WTC 7 that isn't immediately dismissed (due to a lack of evidence that really ought to be there) is that thermite was used to take out column 79, and the perps somehow knew that would bring the whole building down. Of course, as soon as you admit that losing column 79 could trigger a total progressive collapse, then there isn't any need for a thermite theory; the NIST theory of thermal expansion and girder push-off satisfies Occam's Razor.
