dumber after having studied US politics. If that's their introduction to humanity, no doubt they are disgusted with us and would do anything to ensure we don't pollute more planets with that sort of thinking. Here they are, a species that was able to pull themselves out of the cocoon of their own planet and then they have to sit and watch while we make a complete mess of our own. Still, if all they did was sit and watch us destroy ourselves, it reveals that it doesn't take empathy or compassion to master space flight. Only have to be smart enough not to mess up your own life support system.
