the tremendous noise and huge explosive flashes that are produced by conventional explosives like RDX.
very tall buildings have much bigger core columns, requiring much more RDX to severe them;
which produces even greater amounts of explosive noise and flashes, making the CD appear very obvious.
if you were trying to mask the CD as much as possible than using very noisy and flashy conventional explosives
would not be ideal for that.
