if you read the NIST report, you would know that.
in the case of Towers 1 and 2, an airplane slamming into the 90th floor of a 110 story building would not cause it
to fall symmetrically straight down at freefall speed. That makes absolutely no sense.
maybe if the airplane slammed into the base of the towers then a global total collapse would be more plausible. but even then the buildings would have come down asymmetrically, like a tree, if they were to come down at all. not straight down in the manner of a controlled demolition.
the idea that a CD involves nothing more than severing a few random steel columns and letting gravity do the rest is a gross oversimplification. a proper CD involves precise timing and severing of beams and columns in precise sequence, in the precise locations. if it isn't performed correctly what you get is a tall building that topples over like a tree, not a proper controlled demolition.
