random fires do not cause any kind of tall structure to magically collapse into itself in a symmetrical fashion, period. for a modern high-rise building the core columns have to be knocked out all at once, which requires precision timing and expert planning.
starting a random office fire will not magically cause the core columns of a modern high-rise to fail all at once. such a thing has never happened and never will, except maybe in fantasyland. it's an extremely complex undertaking that involves the expert placement of highly specialized explosive (and/or incendiary) devices at the base of the columns by trained personnel. very specialized equipment and know-how you won't find at your local Home Depot.
