3. Makes transition easier later

I have a trans niece. She is on puberty blockers so that secondary make characteristics do not kick in which would make transition to female much more difficult with a lot larger chance if complications.

If a trans preteen, later changes their mind. They can stop taking the blockers and puberty would kick in with all the secondary sexual characteristics you learned about in health class.

It really is a low risk method of treatment.
