...but sometimes it requires two doses. Usually the surgeon or the dentist will tell you that if pain persists to call them immediately.

Once again, you can't mess around with this. It can seriously be life threatening.

Most dentists will see you in an emergency situation the same day. They realize the danger. Make sure you convey the seriousness of the problem on the phone - swelling and pain.

I am an IT consultant who has a dental office as a client. The dentist will come in on weekends for this sort of thing because it can be very serious.
