but those reasons are environmental, not because it causes cancer or makes it worse. Yes, it has an effect on cancerous cells in a dish in a lab, but don't forget we're not dishes, we're people with digestive systems that break all oils and fats down to simple fatty acids. The chance of having anything slip through is small, our systems being excellent at separating the useful things from, well, shit.

I'd say don't go crazy about this. If you would feel better using olive oil or a light oil like safflower or peanut instead of the blended oils in the supermarket, that's fine. Trying to avoid every drop of it in your diet is the pathway to madness, don't do it.
