Question about fasting glucose levels that vary from the low 90's to around 105 [View all]

My fasting glucose was right at 100 the last time I got my bloodwork. I'm 54 and other than that my bloodwork is really good other than a slightly low WBC count. I cut out sugar almost completely the past 4 months and bought a glucose monitor. It's strange that my fasting glucose varies from the low 90's to around 105???? What would cause it to swing so much? I can't find anything definitive on this. I do notice the monitor can give slightly different readings if I do it several times in a row but no a huge swing. Also, my glucose never gets that high after a meal. Generally around 125 to 130. So am I pre-diabetic or not? If some days it's in the 90's and other days the low 100's?

Anyone with some medical training that can answer this? I won't be doing bloodwork again for a few more months. Will ask my doctor at that point. Just curious if anyone here knows. Thanks
