Seizures range from a few seconds to the horrible grand mall we all think of. It is quite possible that he has shown what some call zone outs. He might stop mid sentence and 15 seconds begin to speak exactly where he stopped.

Epilepsy is often triggered by a traumatic brain injury like he recently had.
