There are a few things s/he can try in the office, maneuvers of the head and neck that need to be done under close observation the first time since a lot of people pass out (and worse) from them, but which can be done at home if they're well tolerated. Chiropractors do them but I'd avoid them, they're not prepared to deal with that one person in a thousand who runs into real trouble.

Whether Covid caused it or it's just a coincidence is moot, You want to get rid of it.

If the maneuvers don't work, a drug called meclizine can help a lot, especially if you've got bouts of nausea with the dizziness and you're having trouble remaining uprright.

There is help out there, you just have to make the phone call and get an appointment.
