I had them at 9. And it was about as sick as I'd eve been until I had the flu (one that came in under the radar, because I'd had my flu shot!) many, many years later! The whole thing about "you can't read or watch tv or you'll damage your eyes" is actually wrong. The eyes are watery because of conjunctivitis brought on by measles, but you can't "damage" them. I remember not being allowed to read either for two whole weeks, which was the worst punishment of my life.
