I thought the evidence was pretty strong that gender-affirming care dramatically reduces suicide and depression, improves school performance, elevates mood, reduces anxiety, etc. for minors.

Obviously it's not appropriate for everyone and it's also not a single thing, the risks of bottom surgery aren't the same as the risks of hormones therapy, e.g.

In any event I can certainly say that minis is much happier now and doing much better in school and has finally taken up a musical instrument (electric guitar) and is being remarkably diligent about practicing.
