Parkinson's Disease dementia? Coping with long-time friend's fears. [View all]

Friend of 75 yrs has had Parkinson's Disease at least 5-7 yrs; intelligent, widowed, no children, few relatives; living now in assisted living with 2 full-time caregivers. Has called me twice since Thursday saying she is dying. After first call I went to her facility and met her walking down hall to play bingo! I accompanied her and stayed about 1/2 hr. I asked her if she remembered calling me; she replied yes. I didn't pursue the topic. My daughter, who drove me, had been told that my friend has "episodes" of this type.
I care for my friend and would want to be there for her, though as a senior with health and mobility problems it is difficult to respond to such requests on a short notice.
Am interested in hearing DU'ers experience and advice in these circumstances. Thanks for listening.
