although I use plastic bottles (reusuable) drink out of unless I'm drinking my (loose) hot tea.

One thing that site didn't list is recycling. The only plastics that are recyclable at this point are Nos. 1 and 2, the clear and hard white plastics. Everthing else goes into the landfill, where it gets ground down into more microplastic. That's the dirty secret of those recycling numbers on all plastics. If you're stuck for something to microwave at work, Stouffer's is now using the white recyclable trays.

I'm not completely anti plastic, the shit has made my life with RA a hell of a lot easier because it's so light weight compared to glass. I just wish they'd get it the hell out of clothing. It sheds, pills, bags, and shortens the wear life even in small amounts in blends.
