That’ll be 20 MORE than the day before! (Hey, that rhymes!)
And if you try it again two or three days from that, maybe-just-maybe, you’ll push it to another 20 or even 25 more - or a little more beyond that!

EVEN IF YOUR NEXT ROUND is only 1 or 2 more, heck! That’s 1 or 2 MORE!!!

Bit by bit! Every little bit! Big or little, if it moves you forward on the road to recovery, that’s great! AND that’s enough!

Be gentle with yourself. Healing and recovery can take time and patience. Don’t push yourself TOO hard. Be gentle with yourself. You deserve it. And if you need a break, take it. It’s a BREAK, not a reversal! And it’s CERTAINLY not a failure on your part. It’s wisdom, and it’s carefully weighed and measured in your own mind, and tailored to the progress of YOUR own particular condition. Consider it, and let it guide you along your recovery, whether you push yourself hard or let yourself go easy.

Either way, though, always feel good about yourself because even if it’s taking longer than you’d prefer, you’re STILL getting better bit-by-bit, and you’re NOT giving up.

Please do keep us posted about your efforts along this journey. And we’re always here whenever you need encouragement. As some wise early DUer reminded, quite awhile back: “someone’s always here”.
