While everyone "we" saw was proclaiming that the engine involved in the Washington state train accident was a Talgo, my son properly identified it as a Siemens Charger (SC-44). MSNBC, and any other news agencies who tried to convince him differently, were flat out wrong. According to his research, this engine didn't come into service in Washington state until December 18, 2017.

If he was incorrect, let us know.

Edited to add: If it was a Talgo, it was a Talgo Pendular.
