It is an older anti-depressant which can be used in a low dose to help with sleep.
Helps you fall asleep and get a good night's sleep.
It is not addictive.

Perhaps this along with some of the pain management suggestions.
But trazodone may help with the pain as well.

Something to discuss with doctor.
