13. I have lost 40 # since 3-1-2009

yes, it took that long, and yes, it was very frustrating at times BUT....

losing only 1/4 to 1/2 a pound a week was good for a few reasons

1 i never felt 'starved', i adjusted portions slowly and didn't starve myself. my stomach shrank slowly
2 i worked out faithfully so at my new weight, i don't have all that awful loose skin that comes with fast weight loss
3 i am maintaining my new weight easily, no yo-yoing at all during all these months


while i could still stand to lose 10 more, it's coming off still, slowly but surely.

edited to correct amount of weight lost, hubby lost 70, not me
