It must be Morganton which is in Fannin County, GA. I know they were from that area.
Wiki says "52nd Regiment, Georgia Infantry, Company H, Fannin Rifles." They give the additional words Fannin Rifles.
I have no clue what any of that means.
I wonder what else I can find out with this information or even where else I should look. I am hoping that the military has his wife listed somewhere.
