3. My little sister (she's now 62 -- when did that happen) has my mother's recipes.

A couple of years ago she sent a small leather bound notebook as a “throw away” Christmas present. In it, she had copied several of my mother’s Christmas recipes. Some of them I hadn’t had in decades. It was like gold to me.
