ORiginal in German, measurements are metric.
Crust.
100 gr. flour
100 gr. butter small cubes
80 gr. Cheddar, grated
Salt. i use i/2 tsp
1 egg
Mix flour, salt, butter, and cheese together like a normal pastry, then added the egg to combine. I needed a couple extra tsp flour. Make disc, then fridge for an hour. Rolled out to fit a 21 cm x 8 cm pan. Chilled it while oven heated to 180 C with fan (200 plain)
blind baked for 10 minutes (weighted) removed weights and filled.

Filling
250 gr. macaroni, cooked and rinsed in cold water, drained.
6 eggs
200 gr cream. I use cookign cream 17%
pepper
80 gr, cheddar grated.
Mix all together. My wife wants more cheese next time.

Additions by me;
1 medium small onion chopped, 125 gr spec. I cooked them both together to render some fat.

Assembly;
1/3 of onion spec mix on pastry bottom
2/3 noodles. half the cream egg mixture,
1/3 spec onion mix, rest of the noodles and egg mixture. top with remaining speconion mix.

Into the oven at 180 C fan for 30 minutes then cut temp to 150 C for another 30 minutes. Pull out and let rest.
