It's always been my go-to in a power failure. I like the coffee, but DH gets impatient waiting for the water to boil. Our drip machine can be set to go off 15 minutes before the alarm. I always just wanted to try the French press and, again, gift card.

There's a Galleria in the Twin Cities (Minnesota) where I'm located. I don't normally shop there, but I did used to go to Willliams Sonoma once in a while. But not really anymore. It's not just the attitude, but the difficulty in finding things I still need (been cooking since I was a kid and I'm 71 now). My kitchen is about as stocked for anything I'm interested in doing as it can get. W.S. is hella pricey and kinda bougie.

I never turn down All Clad, but my last 2 pans came from Goodwill. I need to replace my brew fermenters (massive mold out, dammit), but I'll go to Northern Brewer or Midwest for them when/if I can afford it. For cheap, I could use a pastry docker, but I've been using a fork for 60 years. It still works. Mainly right now, I need canning supplies and W.S. doesn't do that either. If they did, it'd be twice the cost of the same at the hardware store.
