3. I went from gas stove/oven to, uhh, a couple of electric hot plates

I also have an Instant Pot which does most of my food/heating and cooking.

And a slow cooker full of always-hot water for various heating and cooking needs.

The gas stove/oven, which was from about 1968, developed a gas leak. The neighbor smelled it and called the gas company to check it out. Anyway, it was so rusted and corroded that it's not usable or repairable and he shut its gas supply off, and told me he put a leak detector in, and if I tried to use it again, he would disconnect me at the meter.

As for induction, I would probably have to upgrade my wiring from what I read. That might include some of the homeowner association's wiring / equipment.
