9. Check with your state DNR about the rules about relocating critters

Most areas already have populations and bringing in a new one isn’t good. If you still want to
relocate it make sure that you put it on the other side of a freeway from your property. I don’t
know if ground hogs have the same homing instinct as squirrels but they tend to not make it
past a major road way.

You can’t catch and rehabilitate them.
