Stay away now that we have a Maltese. Ours isn't a frofrou lap dog. He gets stuck on the fence letting squirrels know what's what. He killed a baby garden snake yesterday.
Clean dogs, don't take up much space - give him/her a puppy or sport cut and easy to take care of.
