Martini hissed today! [View all]

In the 14 years and four months she has lived with me, I have never heard her hiss. I didn't think she could. Holly used to hiss at Martini, but Martini never hissed back. We were in the bathroom a few minutes ago and I was giving her her 3/4 pill and she was in her Incredible Hulk pose (up on her hind legs; sticking her claws in my hand; clenching her teeth shut; squirming; and growling). The pill got stuck to the side of the front of her mouth so I took it out and tried to give it to her again. As soon as I got it in her mouth, she hissed at me! Martini! As we were waiting to make sure she had really swallowed it, I told her I was glad that she found her voice and after a few seconds, she gave the tiniest, cutest little meow, which made me laugh even harder.

Now if only Holly would start making biscuits..........
