10. We adopted a Pyrenees/Red Bone hound cross...

... who was a rescue from Texas. She's a sweetheart, but is also afraid of car rides. We suspect that she associates car rides with something traumatic. Probably when she was abandoned on the street while she was pregnant. She's been with us almost a year now, and she knows this is her forever home, but some fears are hard to erase.
I call her our house horse; she's a big girl!
