Babysitting my nieces puppies [View all]

6 month old Berniedoodles, a boy and a girl. Very cute and pretty well behaved. They are crate trained and there has never been a mistake in the crate. It’ll be fun right?

The girl M, got sick the first day, but before I could clean it B ate it. Dogs. Well okay at least he did a good job?
Later, B had diarrhea but again, probably nerves, or maybe the mulch he ate. Poor guy. The next day he hesitated eating his breakfast, and had the runs when I walked him. That night he ate his food and threw up five minutes later.

Off to bed that evening and after a couple hours B was crying. We took him outside but nothing. Back to the crate. At 5 AM I was awakened by the sound of a dog vomiting. I thought it was just vomit, but when I let him out of the crate it was apparent that he also had diarrhea - and his back end was covered in it. What does a wet dog do? He shook. Shit went flying everywhere. OMG. Rushed him to the nearest shower. No hand held, no dog shampoo. Just me and a poop covered pup. I did what I could.

Called around for a vet because we are 50 miles from their vet. Got baby shampoo to wash him and gave him a bath. Washed the sheets and towels. Took him to the vet. No blockage. So he got a shot for anti nausea and eye drops because he has pink eye. The vet called today, he also has giardiasis. He is now on meds for that. The other puppy still seems healthy. No vomiting or runs.

Please don’t let M get sick, or anything else go wrong in the next 9 days. And please let my itchy eyes be because of allergies. If you got this far- thanks for reading my tale of woe.
