I just figured out that my cat is now deaf [View all]

My cat’s name is Aggie and she’s just over 22 years old. Recently, her behavior has been a little different. Like not getting out of the way when I was moving heavy stuff. She didn’t seem to react when I yelled at her to move. The final tell that she was completely deaf happened today when was cleaning the house - absolutely no reaction when I turned on the vacuum cleaner. I can only think this new world of silence must be very strange for her but she seems to be taking it in stride. She still meows for food every morning as usual and acts pretty normal given her lack of hearing.
