When she was getting ready to catch one, she'd get down into a crouching position, make little clicking sounds, then wiggle her rear end and POUNCE. She almost always got them, and when she did, she gobbled them up.
It was kind of gross when you think of the kinds of places where a fly has been, but Snowflake's hunting skills were impeccable and It was quite entertaining to watch her. Whenever one of us noiced her stalking a fly, we'd say, "Oh look, the mighty huntress is on the prowl!" And then we'd settle in to wait for the butt wiggle and the pounce.
It sounds like Arthur has good hunting instincts but maybe didn't care for the taste of that fly (and who could blame him 
). Here's hoping the next time he decides to hunt some prey he'll find it more to his liking!
