One of the volunteers at the local shelter lives out in the country and gets a lot of dumped, stray, feral cats. This year, she got a very skittish pregnant cat, who had a litter of healthy kittens in the lady's garage. The lady caught the kittens when they were ready to be weaned got them vetted, and found homes for all of them. She kept working with the feral momma cat and finally live trapped her in the middle of Sept. and whisked her off to the vet to be spayed. All went well, except, on the way home, the carrier door wasn't shut right. When the lady and her husband got home, to their horror, the cat was gone, operation and all. The lady had no idea when the cat escaped, but somewhere between the vte's office and their home. The lady and the local network of cat lovers have searched tirelessly for the kitty since. I figured the worst had happened.

The lady just posted. After that extreme event and 3 weeks later, she opened her back door and there was the kitty! Waiting for her food! I am thrilled with this good news story!
